JDK-120AL – Performance & Product Overview

Use the performance chart to estimate the expected airflow output of the JDK-120AL (also referred to as JDK-S-120AL) based on system backpressure.
For instance, if your system’s aeration depth is approximately 2 meters and no additional resistance factors are present, the corresponding backpressure would be around 200 mbar. To determine output, trace vertically from 200 mbar on the chart until intersecting the JDK-120 line, then move horizontally to the flow scale. At 200 mbar, the JDK-120AL delivers an estimated flow rate of 120 l/min.

Compared to SLL- and EL-series models, the JDK series offers up to 30% lower energy consumption (application-dependent) and a more compact design.

Installation Recommendations

• Ensure the pump has access to clean, fresh air.
• If a previous pump has failed, check system backpressure—pressure gauges are available upon request.
• Protect the unit from flooding; while rainproof, it is not submersible.
• Keep tubing diameter consistent with the pump outlet to prevent artificial backpressure that can shorten diaphragm life.
• In aquatic setups with small-bore manifolds, keep at least one outlet tap fully open and venting into water to alleviate pressure buildup from air stones.
• Clean the air filter regularly—at least once annually, or more frequently in dusty environments.
