At Direct Drainage, we aim to get your order dispatched quickly and delivered safely. We work with trusted couriers and manufacturers to offer reliable delivery across most of the UK.
DPD Delivery
For UK deliveries, we recommend DPD as our preferred courier.
We use DPD Next-Day Tracked as standard on all in-stock spare parts. Orders placed before 3:00pm will usually be dispatched the same working day.
At checkout, you may also be able to upgrade your delivery to:
- DPD Next-Day Pre 12pm
- DPD Next-Day Pre 10:30am
Additional charges may apply for upgraded services or for extra increase.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a notification with tracking details where applicable. For DPD deliveries, you may also receive email or text updates directly from DPD, including delivery updates and options to amend your delivery date where available.
Royal Mail Delivery
We also offer Royal Mail delivery on selected products. Please select this option at checkout if you would prefer your order to be sent using Royal Mail.
Dispatch Times
We aim to process and dispatch courier orders between 0.1kg and 30kg on the same working day when received before 3:00pm.
In some cases, dispatch may be delayed by up to 24 hours. We will notify you once your order has been dispatched.
Some items may be sent directly from our suppliers. Where this applies, the supplier will use their own courier or transport service.
Safe Place Deliveries
The courier may require a signature on delivery. If you have asked for your parcel to be left with a neighbour or in a nominated safe place, we can pass these instructions to the courier where possible.
Please note, if you request for your parcel to be left in a safe place, this is done at your own risk. Direct Drainage cannot be held responsible for parcels that are lost, stolen, damaged or missing after being left in your chosen location.
By providing safe place delivery instructions, you accept full responsibility for the parcel once it has been delivered to that location.
Proof of delivery supplied by the courier or transport company will be accepted as evidence that the goods have been delivered.
Damaged or Missing Goods
Please check your goods as soon as they arrive.
In the unlikely event that your order is damaged or missing items, you must notify us within 48 hours of receipt so we can investigate and take prompt action.
For courier deliveries, we can usually track the location and delivery status of your parcel.
Delivery Charges & Restricted Areas
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and cover most UK locations.
Additional delivery charges may apply for certain areas, including but not limited to:
- Scottish Highlands and Islands
- Isle of Wight
- Channel Islands
- Isle of Man
- Anglesey
- Western Isles
- Shetland Islands
- Orkney Islands
- Isles of Scilly
- Northern Ireland
- Republic of Ireland
- Some remote of restricted access locations

Delivery of Large Systems & Tanks
Larger products are usually delivered directly from the manufacturer using their own transport.
This includes:
- Sewage Treatment Systems
- Pump Stations
- Septic Tanks
- Cesspools
- Separators
- Silt Traps
- Rainwater Harvesters
Please note that offloading is the responsibility of the customer. Offloading equipment is not included as standard with delivery.
A HIAB delivery may be available upon request, but this may incur an additional charge and must be requested at the time of order.
Free UK Mainland System Delivery
Klargester, WPL and Harlequin currently offer free UK delivery on all systems to a UK mainland postcode.
Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether your postcode qualifies.
Lead Times
Lead times vary depending on the product, stock availability and manufacturer.
We will confirm lead times at the time of order wherever possible. While we always aim to meet stated delivery timeframes, we cannot guarantee exact delivery dates.
On occasion, where we do not hold stock ourselves, items may be shipped directly from the supplier.
