Our premium GRP Electrical Kiosks are manufactured in Great Britain using high-quality Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) composite, providing a strong, secure, and weather-resistant enclosure for electrical and utility equipment. Designed for long-term outdoor use, the tough, non-corrosive GRP construction offers excellent resistance to moisture, UV exposure, impact, and harsh environmental conditions, making it an ideal alternative to traditional steel cabinets.
Finished in Olive Green (RAL 6003), each kiosk is supplied with a pre-mounted 18mm hardwood plywood backboard, weatherproof black neoprene gasket, and heavy-duty 316 grade stainless steel hinges as standard. Reinforced doors provide enhanced security and achieve an IP55 ingress protection rating, helping to protect valuable electrical equipment from dust and water ingress. Standard locking is via a chrome-plated die-cast zinc alloy cam lock, with alternative locking systems available to meet individual project requirements.
The kiosk features an integral GRP membrane floor as standard, with an open-base option available at no additional cost. The open-base design includes a 100mm internal fixing flange, allowing the enclosure to be securely bolted to a pre-formed concrete base. Fully compliant with UK Power Networks (UKPN) requirements, these maintenance-free enclosures are ideal for housing switchgear, feeder pillars, control panels, metering equipment, telecommunications systems, and utility infrastructure.
