The Washdown Separator System is designed for vehicle wash bays, car wash facilities and commercial cleaning operations that discharge wastewater directly into a foul drainage system connected to a municipal treatment works. Suitable for sites handling 46-60 cars or 31-45 lorries, this system provides effective separation of silt and contaminants before wastewater enters the sewer network.

Because washdown facilities use detergents, soaps and emulsifiers that disperse oils into the water, wastewater must not be discharged into surface water drains. Instead, it should be directed to a foul sewer connection where it can be properly treated.
