The Clearwater 3,800 Litre Shallow Dig Cesspool provides a practical and reliable solution for the collection and storage of sewage, surface water, veterinary and animal waste, firefighting water reserves, and rainwater harvesting. Manufactured from durable Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP), this low-profile cylindrical tank is designed to reduce excavation depth, making installation faster, simpler, and more cost-effective than traditional underground storage tanks.
Designed for off-mains drainage applications, the Clearwater 3,800L Cesspool offers a robust, corrosion-resistant construction with a long service life. Its shallow dig design makes it particularly suitable for sites where deep excavations are difficult or costly, helping to reduce both installation time and groundwork expenses.
As a storage-only system, the cesspool must be emptied regularly by a licensed tanker. Optional high-level alarms are available to provide audible and visual warnings when the tank reaches capacity, helping to prevent overflows and ensure efficient system management.

Important Installation Information
Cesspools are designed exclusively for the storage of wastewater and sewage, with the contents requiring regular removal by a licensed tanker. Optional high-level alarm systems are available to provide both audible and visual alerts when emptying is required.
When installing a cesspool, consideration should be given to:
- Adequate access for tanker emptying and maintenance
- A minimum distance of 7 metres from any dwelling
- Positioning as far as possible from watercourses, ideally at least 10 metres away
- Site access and ground conditions
- Compliance with Building Regulations and Environment Agency requirements
Please note that for domestic installations, current Building Regulations generally require a minimum cesspool capacity of 18,000 litres for a two-person dwelling, meaning larger capacities may be required for residential applications.
Why Choose a Shallow Dig Cesspool?
The Clearwater Shallow Dig range is designed to minimise excavation depth and installation costs while maintaining reliable storage capacity. This makes it an excellent solution for challenging sites and projects where reducing installation time is a priority.
